Kidnapping an activist in the night and detaining him without legal representation or charges is an act of authoritarianism. Punishing someone who has legal standing to be in this country simply because you don’t like what his political view points are is authoritarian. Do we not have a first amendment for free speech? We must stand up for free speech or is it only for people who agree with those in power? I want to know what you are doing to protect mine and all people in this country’s constitutional rights of free speech. Our nation was founded on fundamental rights and that goes for everyone in this nation. The world is watching so I urge you to get the whereabouts and get your constituents and the country proof of Mahmoud Khalil’s safety. Thank you for your time,
