The Democrats need to develop an effective media strategy now, with crisp, clear messages that our elected officials deliver repeatedly in every forum. This is urgent—and more important than practically anything else you are doing. The time is now. If you want to form think tanks with voters to help develop the messaging and determine the most effective fora, then reach out with that request. We don’t need stunts (like Sens. Schumer and Klobachar’s campaign to pass a Constitutional amendment overturning Citizens United. While I agree that case should be overturned, there was less than the proverbial snowball’s chance in the proverbial netherworld that it would pass.) While polling suggests the American people like the president’s swift action, there is evidence that the public is beginning to tire of the president’s shoot-then-aim approach. Let’s capitalize on that. Thank you for your consideration and your ongoing service.
