As a mama of a US soldier, I am IRATE. SecDef Hegseth and his merry band of idiots, including VP Vance put lives at risk. The fact that it didn’t turn out worse is purely based on luck — because not every journalist would have sat on information like the one from the Atlantic did. I want to know what steps you are going to take to hold these officials accountable. I want to know what action you are taking to ensure that this absolutely absurd level of misconduct doesn’t happen again. I want to know how you are personally going to deal with the lack of care exhibited in this instance never happens again. OpSec is a core component of our military and having leaders who understand it is key. Please do your job.
