Please oppose the SAVE Act. I am a UOCAVA voter in NY-01. I live in Italy and vote in your district. This bill exploits misinformation about voter fraud, a problem proven to be vanishingly rare. The SAVE Act undermines democratic principles and suppresses voter participation under the guise of election security. Most importantly, this legislation would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, including U.S. military personnel serving overseas and/or citizens like me who are living outside of the U.S. Its stringent documentation requirements, such as in-person proof of citizenship via passports or birth certificates, create unnecessary barriers for Americans who already face challenges accessing voting systems from overseas. I urge you to stand against this attack on our rights and vote NO on the SAVE Act.
