The recent security breach (related to the attack on the Houthis) was utterly breathtaking. Not only does this demonstrate almost unrivaled incompetence (the texts resemble what I’d expect from high school “bros”), but the danger to our national security and the enormous harm placed upon our military by this kind of arrogant incompetence is unacceptable. And yet, republicans are rushing to sweep it under the rug. If the GOP was willing to devote 800 hours to the interrogation of Hillary Clinton (which revealed nothing alarming), they could at least investigate this with some measure of diligence. The GOP has sold out to Russia, and is now - through their choice of wholly unqualified Cabinet and staff members - signaling that we are in such disarray that our adversaries can easily move in. What will Congress do to stop this?
