Condemn the Arrest of Mahmoud Khalil and Demand Accountability from ICE

To: Rep. Biggs, Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego

From: A constituent in Gilbert, AZ

March 10

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the reported unwarranted arrest of Mahmoud Khalil and the alleged stripping of their green card status. This action appears to be a politically motivated attempt to silence dissent, setting a dangerous precedent that threatens the constitutional rights of all individuals in the United States. History has shown us the dangers of using immigration enforcement as a tool for political repression. Authoritarian regimes, including Nazi Germany, took early steps to revoke the legal status of targeted groups as a means of silencing opposition and consolidating power. We must not allow such tactics to take root in our own country. I urge you to take immediate action by publicly condemning this abuse of power and demanding the immediate release of Mahmoud Khalil. Furthermore, you must press ICE and all relevant government entities for answers and accountability. The use of immigration status as a political weapon is unacceptable and cannot be allowed to stand. The American people deserve transparency, and those responsible must be held accountable. Please use your platform to demand justice and ensure that our government does not engage in tactics that erode civil liberties and democratic norms. I appreciate your time and attention to this urgent matter.
