Town Halls are A Great Way to Connect with Your Constituents. Thank You!

March 27
I recently received a phone call inviting me to your virtual town hall, and I tuned in expecting an open, honest discussion with my elected representative. Instead, I was disappointed to find what seemed to be a prerecorded event—one where you did not truly engage with your constituents. It is frustrating that you could not even face the people you claim to represent. If your policies and actions are just, why avoid direct interaction?
Your refusal to hold an in-person town hall speaks volumes. It appears that you are either unwilling or afraid to answer for the harm your actions are causing to the very people who entrusted you with this position. A representative should stand up for what is right, not simply serve as a yes-man to an administration that is driving our country toward authoritarian rule. If you genuinely believe in what you are supporting, then you are on the wrong side of history.
Furthermore, I was disappointed to hear you repeat talking points that were outright false. You spoke of government waste as a bipartisan problem, yet your party has continuously exploded the deficit while claiming fiscal responsibility. Your party has never balanced a budget. And while you criticize government spending, you simultaneously support tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit those who need them the least—further burdening working-class Americans who will ultimately bear the cost.
Your constituents deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability. We deserve a representative who is willing to stand before us and answer real, unscripted questions. If you are truly working in our best interest, I challenge you to hold a genuine, in-person town hall and face the people you were elected to serve.
