Vote no on. H.Res.7 - Recognizing the importance of access to comprehensive, high-quality, life-affirming medical care for women of all ages. This is a disingenuous bill that further undermines a woman’s right to choose what is right for her and her body. Making the claim that “Whereas health care for women should also address the needs of men, families, and communities as they relate to women’s health care;” does nothing for women. Women already put and consider everyone else in their lives first. Our healthcare should be about US as women, with decisions made by US women —not focused on or guided/directed by the men in our lives. Furthermore, trying to use the bill to establish Pro Women’s Healthcare Centers as a model for women’s healthcare is terrifying. These “pro-life” centers do little but bully vulnerable women into keeping unwanted pregnancies. They do not provide the full scope of care, such as contraception or counseling and the founder has qualms with IVF. https://nacn-usa.org/wp-content/uploads/PWHC-Booklet.pdf This consortium of “pro-life” doctors wants to force their religious ideology on American women. Abortion is healthcare and denying women access to that is wrong.
