NIOSH Dismantling Hurts First Responders

To: Sen. Capito, Rep. Moore, Sen. Justice

From: A constituent in Stonewood, WV

April 3

I am writing regarding the abrupt closure of the NIOSH office in Morgantown, West Virginia. They assisted coal miners with black lung and with mine safety. They created safety harnesses for EMTs in ambulances. They investigated fire fighter fatalities nationwide. Closing this office hurts West Virginia's economy, makes us less safe, and hurts the struggling coal industry. Please speak out against thoughtless mass firings.
