The idea of using IRS records to track down undocumented immigrants is not a good one. The immigrants who file taxes are the most law abiding and productive immigrants. We are lucky to have these hardworking people among us. In addition, they have long been promised that their information is safe and not going to be used this way. This is a betrayal of basic decency and counterproductive. As a citizen, I don’t like the Doge kids rummaging around in my personal information either! I don’t generally hand over my bank account information to just anyone. I feel very uncomfortable with this situation. Get Doge out of the IRS! Protect our neighbors!
