Reject partisan funding bill, allow government shutdown
To: Sen. Pratt
From: A constituent in Shakopee, MN
March 13
The proposed continuing resolution for government funding is deeply flawed and fails to reflect the needs and priorities of the American people. By drafting this legislation without input from Democrats, Republicans have put partisan interests ahead of responsible governance. Their drastic cuts to vital domestic programs while increasing excessive military spending are unacceptable and will harm millions of families across the country. Furthermore, allowing sweeping authority to dismantle federal agencies without congressional oversight sets a dangerous precedent that undermines our system of checks and balances. I urge you to reject this reckless bill and allow a government shutdown to occur. The American people deserve a government that works for all, not one driven by political brinkmanship.
