Please vote NO to Repeal Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934. This bill repeals Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934, which protects a provider or user of an interactive computer service (e.g., social media company) from liability for screening or blocking objectionable content.
This type of speech is protected by the Constitution under our First Amendment rights. This is a dangerous precedent to repeal and it is your job to protect your constituents and what they are lawfully allowed to say on social media platforms. Just because the president and his unelected billionaire cronies don’t like what Americans say does NOT make it illegal.
Please show your constituents that you care about democracy and the people you have sworn to protect by voting NO to repeal Section 230 on S. 2972. Stand Up For America and Americans.
