I am very concerned over the disappearing of people off the street without due process. Surely we can agree that due process is a core founding principle of our democracy. Without due process how can any American citizen be assured that they will not be mistakenly taken off of the street and put into a prison without being charged, defended, or tried as the Constitution demands? I feel less safe now than I ever have as a citizen of the United States because denying any person the right to due process breaks the social contract. Tell me as a member of a co-equal branch of government that you can assure me due process will be followed as per the Constitution and that you will reign in presidential lawlessness regarding the total disregard of due process.
