The detention of three children and their mother from the Sackets Harbor community without due process is a grave injustice and a violation of fundamental human rights. The reports of armed agents handcuffing and forcibly removing minors from their homes and schools are truly horrific and antithetical to American values. Such cruel tactics traumatize innocent children and tear families apart, inflicting severe psychological harm. We are a nation built by immigrants, and such draconian immigration enforcement betrays our principles of human dignity and compassion. I urge you to speak out against these unjustified actions, demand the immediate return of these students to their classrooms, and fight to uphold the constitutional right to due process for all people within our borders, regardless of immigration status. We must treat everyone, especially children, with the respect and care they deserve as human beings.
