The United States must demonstrate unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia's ongoing aggression. As a new Gallup poll indicates, a record 46% of Americans believe the U.S. is not doing enough to assist Ukraine, signaling a clear mandate for increased involvement. With the Russia-Ukraine war entering its fourth year and the Kremlin openly violating the terms of recent ceasefire agreements, it is imperative that the administration utilizes the full extent of its presidential drawdown authority to rapidly provide additional military aid and intelligence to bolster Ukraine's defensive capabilities. Failure to respond decisively would not only embolden Russia's revanchist ambitions but also undermine America's credibility on the global stage. The vast majority of Americans – 79% – fear Russia will violate any potential peace deal, reflecting deep skepticism towards Moscow's commitment to diplomacy. Conversely, only 26% harbor concerns over Ukraine breaching an agreement, reflecting widespread trust in Kyiv's intentions. It is clear the American public firmly stands with Ukraine and desires a more robust policy aimed at safeguarding its hard-fought gains. The disturbing prospect of Russia's territorial conquests being legitimized through coerced settlements is unacceptable. The United States must work in lockstep with our NATO allies and global partners to enhance Ukraine's military capabilities, allowing it to reclaim occupied areas and bring a decisive conclusion to this unprovoked war on American terms. Only through an unmistakable show of resolve can lasting peace and stability be achieved. The weight of public opinion demands it.
