I am extremely displeased to hear that you voted with the Republicans to censure Rep. Al Green. You chose decorum over truth and decency; in another time, decorum might be valued, but in the face of the dismantling of democratic norms, good manners should be at the bottom of the list of priorities. Punishing someone for speaking truth? Sorry, that’s just wrong. You disappoint me. I hope you’ll rethink your priorities, because I think you’ll find they’re not the priorities of the people you were elected to represent.
