Commend Rep. Miller for supporting new parents' rights
To: Rep. Miller
From: A verified voter in Berea, OH
April 1
It is commendable that Rep. Max Miller stood up for the rights of new parents by voting against blocking a measure that would allow proxy voting for 12 weeks after childbirth. As he mentioned, the GOP should align with its pro-life and pro-family values by supporting policies that help new mothers during the crucial postpartum period. Miller's stance reflects an understanding of the challenges faced by working parents, especially mothers recovering from childbirth. His willingness to break from party lines on this issue demonstrates a commitment to supporting families over partisan politics. Allowing proxy voting ensures new parents can take necessary leave without compromising their legislative duties. This reasonable accommodation promotes work-life balance and should be a nonpartisan issue. Thank you for representing Ohioans on this even though we don't agree on most things.
