Reject discriminatory SAVE Act that disenfranchises lawful voters

To: Sen. Duckworth, Rep. Ramirez, Sen. Durbin

From: A constituent in Chicago, IL

March 5

The SAVE Act is a harmful legislative proposal that would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters across the country, including women. This bill seeks to impose strict voter ID requirements, purge voter rolls more aggressively, and restrict mail-in voting - all measures that disproportionately disenfranchise communities of color, students, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and women. Credible studies have shown that voter fraud is exceedingly rare, making these restrictions an unnecessary barrier to the constitutional right to vote. As a representative, you have a duty to protect the integrity of our elections by opposing measures like the SAVE Act that make it harder for lawful citizens to exercise their fundamental democratic rights. I urge you to vote against this discriminatory legislation that undermines our democracy.
