President Trump's sweeping tariffs are extremely concerning and risk causing significant economic harm. I urge you to oppose these tariff policies. Raising taxes on imports from allies and adversaries alike will increase costs for American consumers and businesses. It will disrupt vital supply chains, invite retaliation from trading partners, and potentially spark a global trade war that could plunge the economy into recession. These tariffs actively harm lower and middle class Kansans who keep our state running. They especially hurt our farmers, who you've said you are in office to support. It's time to stand up and do what's right for Kansans and Americans by working with your colleagues in Congress to fight and end these tariffs. Free trade strengthens our economy by allowing the efficient flow of goods and services. Protectionist tariffs are ultimately self-defeating and reduce our nation's economic competitiveness
