Our nation's Medicaid program provides vital health coverage for millions of vulnerable Americans, including children, people with disabilities, and older adults in nursing homes. Cutting Medicaid funding would strip away this essential safety net, leaving many without access to necessary medical care and long-term support services. Instead of pursuing cuts that could have devastating consequences, we should be exploring ways to strengthen and expand Medicaid to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care. Reducing waste and fraud is laudable, but cannot realistically produce the massive savings required to fund the proposed tax cuts without harming beneficiaries. I urge you to protect Medicaid funding and prioritize the health and well-being of our most vulnerable citizens over tax cuts that disproportionately benefit the wealthy.
