The trade war and escalating tariffs are harming American businesses, workers, and consumers. Increasing tariffs on metals from Canada to 50% will devastate industries that rely on these imports and trigger retaliation that jeopardizes U.S. exports and jobs. This protectionist approach is misguided and will ultimately cost more American jobs than it saves. I urge reconsideration of this destructive policy of escalating tariffs that is damaging our economy.
