I am writing to ask you to do everything you can to preserve Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I know you have little direct influence over these decisions, but cutting these programs will leave many good citizens of our state in the tragic aftermath. Citizens like me, for whom Social Security disability is my only source of income and Medicare is my only way to access healthcare. Our Senators in Washington have already let us down by voting to approve the spending bill. Please do everything you can to demand the continuation of these programs. And to assure security and wellbeing for those of us who rely on you for good government.
