President Trump's attacks on transgender people are a blatant attempt at denationalizing them - stripping away their rights and protections as American citizens. This echoes the disturbing tactics used by authoritarian regimes throughout history to marginalize and oppress minority groups. We cannot stand by and allow such a dangerous erosion of civil liberties. Transgender Americans deserve to have their identity, dignity and legal rights respected, not to be treated as second-class citizens or expelled from society. Denying them access to appropriate identity documents, pushing them out of the military, enabling discrimination in housing, employment and public services - these actions aim to deny their very existence and humanity. This crusade against trans people is deeply unethical and runs counter to our nation's founding principles of equality and inalienable rights. As a representative of all your constituents, you must take a firm stand against these discriminatory policies and uphold every American's constitutional protections. Use your voice and your vote to vigorously defend the rights and acceptance of our transgender brothers, sisters and non-binary siblings. Their freedom is integral to the freedom of us all.
