I fully concur that Social Security Commissioner Leland Dudek's conduct has been highly inappropriate and unacceptable for someone in such a vital public service role. Referring to the Governor of Maine in a derogatory manner and threatening to withhold critical federal funds over a political disagreement represents an egregious abuse of power and partisan overreach. Such behavior severely undermines public trust in the impartial administration of Social Security programs that millions of Americans rely upon. Dudek's actions demonstrate a disturbing inability to separate personal animosity from his official duties. For the integrity of the Social Security Administration to be restored, I request Dudek's immediate resignation to allow new leadership committed to nonpartisan, professional service.
