As a constituent I ask that you speak out against the detainment of green card holder Mahmoud Khalil. Khalil is being detained and his green card taken away because he exercised his right to freedom of speech(a right guaranteed in the first amendment of the US Constitution ). he has not committed any crime nor been charged with one. His only “crime” is that he holds views that do not agree with Donald Trump. Allowing this persecution is contrary to our constitution and smacks of authoritarianism. This is a threat to all who reside in this country!! as you took an oath to defend our constitution it is your duty to speak out against this.
