I urge your support of SB 48 (Gonzalez) which would assist in the protection of California’s immigrant student population.   SB 48 (Gonzalez) would prohibit school districts, county offices of education, or charter schools, and their personnel, to the extent possible, from allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to access a school campus without a judicial warrant. Additionally, this important bill would prohibit local education agencies and their personnel from disclosing or providing education records.   I urge you to support SB 48 (Muratsuchi) when it is heard by the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee.   Sincerely,
