Stop 55 Million Dollars in DOGE Cuts for Louisiana Health Department

To: Sen. Cassidy, Sen. Kennedy, Rep. Carter

From: A verified voter in New Orleans, LA

March 29

The proposed policy changes in Louisiana are deeply concerning and appear to prioritize corporate interests over the well-being of the state's residents. Cutting vital social services and public assistance programs will have devastating consequences for vulnerable communities, exacerbating poverty, food insecurity, and lack of access to healthcare. Instead of slashing funding, we should be investing in strengthening the social safety net and ensuring all citizens have their basic needs met. As an elected official, your duty is to the people of Louisiana, not to wealthy individuals like Elon Musk or former President Trump who do not have the state's best interests at heart. I urge you to reconsider these misguided cuts and instead work towards policies that uplift and empower all Louisianans.
