The claims of potential criminal violations like conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and wire fraud against these organizations seem baseless and appear to be part of a broader effort to undermine climate action. It is outrageous that the EPA Administrator, with a history of downplaying climate impacts, has terminated $20 billion in grants from this crucial fund based on dubious allegations. Climate change poses an existential threat to our planet, and we should be bolstering, not obstructing, the work of organizations dedicated to addressing this crisis. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly, defend the integrity of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, and ensure that vital climate initiatives can continue without undue political interference or harassment.
