Vote NO on SB 7016 and HB 1205 - don’t make ballot measures stricter!

I am writing to you today to urge you to vote NO on SB 7016 and all other legislation that would make it harder for Floridians to place and pass citizen-led ballot measures. Florida already has the strictest process for getting citizen-led measures on the ballot and requires a 60% supermajority of votes for them to pass. We do NOT need them to become even stricter. Floridians should be able to vote on policies initiated by our communities. I urge you to defend direct democracy: Vote NO on SB 7016 and all other legislation that makes it harder for everyday Floridians to submit and pass citizen-led ballot amendments. A yes vote on these bills is a vote against Floridians and our ability to participate in democracy. I hope you understand how important this is, and vote NO accordingly. Thank you for your time.
