I am writing today to ask you to stand up for your constituents. Be brave amd resist President Trump's stupid disastrous economic policy. Stop the Trump Recession now before it becomes a Trump Depression. President Trump's economic policy is bad for America and it causing hardship. First the destabalizing effect of on agsin off again tariffs has caused losses in the stock market. Next, the mass firing of federal workers has upended the employment market, causing knock on effects in private employment. Federal contractors who do essential work are being replaced without a plan. The fear and uncertainly caused by President Trump's cruelty driven Immigration Agenda is destabilizing the workforce in agriculture. Farmers are having a difficult time encouraging even those who are here legally on the guest worker visas to stay around. Add all this to blatant attacks on university researchers and institutions of higher education. This has crippled research and innovation and caused layoffs. President Trump may be good at being a business man but government is not a for profit business. His instincts about economic policy are wrong headed. American people in this community are suffering. I believe that you care about our state and our people. Please understand how this economic foolishness is hurting your constituents. I expect a reply detailing HOW you will stand up for us.
