I am writing you today because I am devastated by the executive order to gut the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Libraries are incredibly important to me. I grew up with one in walking distance from my house and I visited there regularly with my parents. I enjoyed reading and learning there. My first job was working there. I think Americans from all walks of life benefit from having a local library. Not just for books or reading, but access to computers and internet, programs for children, and yearly tax services. Libraries are wonderful resources for the communities.
