Maintain functional student loans, stop dismantling department of education

The administration’s move to have SBA manage federal student loan will cause severe problems for students who rely on the support to further their education. Our country is already in great shortage of well-trained professionals; disrupting higher education in such drastic manner will exacerbate the shortage, causing this country generations of wealth as we lag behind the world’s advances in research and innovation. I urge you to push back the dismantling of the Department of Education, and to maintain a steady, functional management of federal student loans.
