Plan for America’s future 2027 At this point Democrats, whether centrist or progressives, need to assume that the current administration will make significant progress in gutting or even completely destroying most of the government agencies and institutions we have relied on to serve our citizens, our veterans, our children, and our most vulnerable and marginalized people. It’s time to start imagining and planning for how we will rebuild and recreate these institutions from scratch. We need to start planning for an idealized, up to date version of what these agencies could look like and how they could provide better services for our people. We should be planning to create policies and processes that can be simplified and improved and be more inclusive. We should start planning now so there is a framework in place on how to start rebuilding the government systems that Trump and Musk are trying to eliminate. We also need to plan to propose laws to protect us all from oligarchy, lawlessness, and unelected government officials stripping our rights and government institutions away again. We need to make sure there are actual punishments to hold those who break those laws accountable and be ineligible to hold government office in the future. I want you to help us imagine and plan for building a more equitable American government that serves and protects all of its people. I am asking for your help and leadership to prepare us for a better future in the desperate hopes we can take back Congress in the next two years. Please, start planning now.
