I’m writing because we have entered a constitutional crisis. On Saturday evening, federal judge James Boasberg unambiguously ordered the Trump administration not to deport any Venezuelans using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. The administration ignored him. This is terrifying. No American and especially no president can ignore a judge’s order. We have a system of checks and balances! Without it we cease to be a democracy. I wondered if Representative Latimer has made a statement on this? I could not find one yet. Please stand strong with your colleagues on this. Thank you.
