Congress!! Block Weapons to Israel!

To: Rep. Hayes, Sen. Murphy, Sen. Blumenthal

From: A verified voter in Waterbury, CT

March 5

For the first time in two decades, Israeli tanks are advancing through the occupied West Bank. Just yesterday, Israeli forces killed two 13-year-old Palestinian children. These alarming escalations come as Israel breaches ceasefire agreements in Gaza and obstructs rebuilding efforts. At the same time, Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Pramila Jayapal have introduced joint resolutions in Congress to prevent the delivery of 10,000 155mm artillery shells to Israel—the very weapons driving violence and displacement throughout Palestine. Gaza can't wait. The West Bank can't wait. And we can't stand by while our tax dollars fund these atrocities. Israeli Defense Minister Katz has openly stated that the military operations are aimed at "preventing the return of residents." This is ethnic cleansing unfolding before our eyes, with the support of our government. This resolution will force a critical decision: stand up for human rights or continue enabling violations of international law. As a deeply concerned American and your constituent, I demand that you: * Vote YES on S.J.RES.20 and H.J.Res.68 to block the 10,000 artillery shells to Israel * Support an immediate ARMS EMBARGO to stop all weapons shipments to Israel * Enforce U.S. laws that prohibit military funding for human rights violations * Advocate for full ceasefire compliance and the free flow of humanitarian aid Fund care, not conflict. Books, not bombs. Homes, not drones. Healthcare, not warfare.
