What are you doing about cuts to HUD? SO MANY people like me rely on these programs to get just the most basic housing. There is already not enough to go around. This would completely uproot our nation. So would cuts to Social Security and Medicaid. I am disabled due to chronic illness. WE NEED THESE PROGRAMS!! It is just a drop in the bucket for our nation’s budget, so why are they bothering to mess with any of it? Billionaires are that sick-minded and greedy to steal from the poor? To steal from those who have so little already? WHY?! They already have more money than they can spend in their lifetime and their grandkids’ lifetimes…and beyond! Why bother? Why do you all want to do such horrific things to this country? I don’t get it. Why not be known for good? This is all killing is - our mental health. We’re all so terrified, and you’re not fighting for us!!!! We need you to stand up to Trump and Elon! Stand up to JD!! Stand up to Mike Johnson! We need checks and balances. Corporations are getting away with too much, too! Why why why why why why why! Or rather ?!?!?!?!?!?! I’m too upset to use proper grammar! Every day I wake up with knots in my stomach. Will today be the day that my world collapses? Why don’t you care?! You are SOUTH DAKOTANS! Where are your morals? Don’t be like Kristi Noem. Show a backbone and some human decency, and don’t let this happen. This whole presidency is a freight train going on full speed. And we’re heading straight into hell. Why are you allowing this?! Why are you all voting for the exact opposite of what the right thing to do is. I know you know these things are wrong. Come on! Don’t let this country fall apart. Most of us would have NEVER guessed this would be happening in our lifetimes. We already went through hell during his first term. I lost my aunt to COVID on THE J6! You all seem to want to ignore that either of them happened or that either of them devastated us! Please do the right thing! I and we should not have to beg our elected officials to do their jobs! It’s so insulting and demeaning. As someone with a disability due to chronic illness, it already feels like people think I don’t deserve things. I became chronically ill in my 20s. I’m about to turn 47. I was a straight A, Type A, hardworking type of person when I got sick. What could I do? I was only 5 years out of college. I didn’t have savings yet to live off of. What was I supposed to do? I live off barely anything as it is, but I somehow make it work to squeak by to the next check. Why take away the little I have…to give to BILLIONAIRES?! I cry every damn day. This is absolute hell. Imagine being told you could lose your job any day now, you have no savings (part of the design of these programs), and there are no other “jobs” out there. The amount of paperwork I do each year to keep sustaining the bare minimum is crazy! I just got more paperwork last week! Why are you doing this to us? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
