Speak out against the illegal seizure and detention of Mahmoud Khalil and the blatant work of this administration to silence dissent. It is a violation of the First Amendment for the government to retaliate against someone for exercising their right to free speech. To arrest someone, take away their legal immigration status, detain them 1,400 miles from their home, and threaten them with deportation solely because of their political viewpoint - which is exactly what happened in this case - is the work of despots in authoritarian regimes. It has no place in our democracy. Silence is complicity.
