Thank you for all of your hard work representing constituents like me. I am reaching out to you to request that you oppose Cynthia Lummis's cryptocurrency legislation. Cryptocurrency is unregulated, unstable, and primarily used to scam unsuspecting individuals out of their hard-earned cash or to launder dirty money. Furthermore, the processing power necessary to operate blockchain technologies is a devastating drain on our electrical grid, especially at a time where Americans are fighting for better electrical infrastructure in the face of a more extreme climate. Cryptocurrency's inherent instability, outsized environmental impact, and lack of material substance makes it an inappropriate investment of taxpayer funds.
