I urge you to call loudly for the immediate release of Mahmoud Khalil. His arrest and detention are an egregious violation of his first amendment rights, and a chilling start to what I fear is the future of free speech in the United States. We cannot begin detaining people for saying things that the current administration doesn't like. If it can happen to Khalil, it can happen to anyone. I urge you to have the courage and conviction to stand up and try to right this wrong.
