Demand for Immediate Return to the District to Answer to the People

To: Sen. Capito, Rep. Miller, Sen. Justice

From: A constituent in Barboursville, WV

March 9

As a constituent and a licensed attorney with over 15 years of experience in the court system, I understand the gravity of taking an oath. Like you, I have sworn to uphold the Constitution and serve with integrity. That oath is not just ceremonial—it is a binding commitment to the people and the rule of law. Right now, many of us feel that commitment is being ignored. Congress appears increasingly disconnected from the real concerns of the American people, prioritizing political maneuvering over direct engagement with constituents. As someone who has dedicated my career to justice and accountability, I find this unacceptable. We are demanding that you return to our district immediately and hold an open, unscripted town hall. No pre-screened questions. No cherry-picked audiences. Just you, face-to-face with the people you represent. This is not a request—it is an expectation of your duty as an elected official. Our democracy depends on transparency, accountability, and direct representation. If you are unwilling to stand before your constituents and answer their questions, it will be clear that you do not serve the people of West Virginia but rather a group of narcissistic billionaires. I expect a response with a date and location for your next public town hall. The people of this district deserve answers, and we will not tolerate silence or avoidance. We are watching. We are waiting. And we will remember.
