Protect judicial independence and separation of powers

To: Rep. Pappas, Sen. Hassan, Sen. Shaheen

From: A constituent in Hooksett, NH

March 14

The article raises alarming concerns about threats to the judicial branch and the potential undermining of democratic institutions. Judges should be able to make rulings without fear of retaliation or impeachment threats. Intimidation tactics against the judiciary are unacceptable in a nation built on the rule of law. We must defend the independence of the courts and reject any efforts to compromise the separation of powers. Failing to uphold these principles jeopardizes the foundations of our constitutional republic. I urge you to take a firm stand against any actions that erode judicial authority or enable the consolidation of power in the executive branch. Protecting our system of checks and balances is essential to preserving American democracy. [Link to the article for context.]
