Protect our national forests!

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Malagari, Sen. Collett, Pres. Trump, Gov. Shapiro, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Dean

From: A constituent in Lansdale, PA

March 7

The recent executive order signed by President Trump to expedite logging on federal lands by bypassing key environmental laws raises serious concerns. Allowing the timber industry to circumvent regulations like the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act puts our cherished national forests at grave risk. These laws were enacted to safeguard delicate ecosystems and protect vulnerable species from harmful exploitation. Prioritizing short-term economic gains over long-term ecological sustainability is a short-sighted and reckless approach. National forests are precious natural resources that belong to all Americans, not just special interests. Once these delicate habitats are destroyed, the damage may be irreversible. We must preserve these invaluable ecosystems for future generations. I urge you to take a stand against this executive order and fight to uphold the vital environmental protections that have served us well for decades. Our national forests are a public trust, and it is our responsibility to be their steadfast guardians. Please prioritize the preservation of these natural treasures over the narrow pursuit of profits. The health of our environment and the well-being of countless plant and animal species depend on your decisive action.
