Please vote YES on S.1077, the 2025 District of Columbia Local Funds Act. This bill simply allows the DC mayor to spend local tax revenue that has already been collected—it does not use federal tax dollars. If Congress fails to approve this, the DC Council and mayor will be forced to make devastating cuts to essential services, including funding for teachers, police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel, Metro transit, health services, and even retirees’ pensions. The resulting disruption would harm residents, workers, and visitors, while weakening the city’s ability to function effectively. I urge the Congressmember to support this bill and prevent unnecessary harm to the nation’s capital. Please vote YES! Thank you.
