I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the Continuing Resolution (CR) budget until critical checks and balances are restored. The stakes are simply too high for rushed, imbalanced decisions that could severely impact millions of Americans.
We cannot afford cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, programs that provide essential healthcare to seniors, low-income families, and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, we must ensure that reckless financial policies and undue influences—such as the involvement of Doge and other distractions—are kept out of government affairs.
Instead of pushing through a flawed budget, I urge you to vote no- even if it results in a government shutdown - to allow for transparent discussions and responsible fiscal planning. We need leadership that prioritizes the well-being of the people over political maneuvering.
I ask that you stand with your constituents and vote against any budget resolution that threatens critical services and weakens oversight.
