Education as a right not a privilege is a cornerstone of American culture and history. Attempting to gut the Department of Education is something Trump cannot, and should not, do. As with attempting to dismantle libraries and museums, and as with arresting legal residents, I expect you to speak up often and loudly at the things that should not happen, and are happening. Your silence is damning and I need you to get to work.
