Protect Gender Affirming Care

I am urging that we Oregonians oppose any restrictions on gender-affirming care for transgender individuals. Gender-affirming care is recognized by major medical organizations as life-saving and essential. Denying this care puts transgender individuals, especially youth, at a higher risk of mental health struggles and suicide. I ask Senator Jama and Representative Nguyen to protect access to this care and oppose any legislation that restricts transgender individuals from making healthcare decisions with their doctors.
