Stop Feeding the Billionaire Beast – End Corporate Welfare for Elon Musk
To: Rep. Fitzpatrick, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman
From: A constituent in Quakertown, PA
March 6
Elon Musk and his companies, Tesla and SpaceX, are not just soaking up taxpayer dollars—they're profiting from them while putting workers' lives at risk and devastating the planet. As head of DOGE, Musk is slashing real benefits for working-class Americans while benefiting from government subsidies and contracts that are absurdly generous. Tesla’s record of OSHA violations is appalling, with some of the highest rates of worker fatalities and life-threatening conditions in the industry. How much longer will we tolerate a billionaire profiting from our tax dollars while his employees suffer and die in hazardous conditions? Musk couldn’t care less about American workers—he's too busy counting the money we’re giving him. But it gets worse. Musk’s push for minerals in Ukraine and Greenland to feed his electric car battery greed is a textbook example of corporate exploitation. This isn’t about saving the planet—it’s about consolidating power and taking whatever he can, regardless of the geopolitical and environmental destruction it causes. Human rights, the environment, and global stability are expendable in Musk’s drive for profits. Musk and his billionaire peers don’t need a single cent more from the American people. They’re using our money to build their empires, exploit workers, and enrich themselves at the expense of everything else. This isn’t about advancing technology or solving climate change. It's about making the richest people on Earth even richer while the rest of us suffer the consequences. Meanwhile, American workers—who put their bodies on the line in hazardous conditions—are left to pay the price. The very people making Musk his billions are sacrificed for his profits. It is beyond unacceptable that we continue to allow billionaires like Musk to gorge on public funds while they devastate our workforce, harm the environment, and enrich themselves for personal gain. These corporate handouts are not just unjust—they're actively undermining the values this country was built on. It’s time to end this charade. Stop funneling taxpayer dollars into the pockets of billionaires who have zero regard for workers or the planet. We need regulations that protect the American people, not line the pockets of the super-wealthy. If you continue to allow this reckless behavior, you are complicit in the destruction of our workforce and our future. We need stronger regulations, increased oversight, and a commitment to protecting workers and the environment. The government should not be subsidizing billionaires’ fortunes—especially when the consequences are clear and devastating. Stop letting Musk and others like him exploit the system. Hold them accountable. It’s time for the government to put the needs of the American people over corporate greed. Enough is enough. The government must serve the people—not the profits of the ultra-wealthy.
