Rectify wrongful deportation, protect due process and family unity.

To: Rep. Boebert, Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper, Pres. Trump

From: A constituent in Castle Rock, CO

April 1

The mistaken deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison demands immediate corrective action. Despite being granted protected status by an immigration judge in 2019, prohibiting his removal to El Salvador, he was deported due to an admitted "administrative error" by immigration officials. This egregious violation of due process cannot be tolerated. Mr. Abrego Garcia must be swiftly returned to the United States to reunite with his wife and children, who have special needs and are devastated by his unjust detention. Processes must be overhauled to prevent such callous mistakes that upend lives and disregard legal protections. Restoring Mr. Abrego Garcia's rights and ensuring no others suffer similar fates is imperative for upholding constitutional principles of due process and human dignity.
