The President does not have the unilateral authority to abolish the Department of Education. This executive overreach undermines the system of checks and balances fundamental to American democracy. Congress must exercise its constitutional power as a co-equal branch of government to prevent such an unjustified power grab. Preserving the Department of Education protects students, families, and the future of quality public education across the nation. Upholding the legislative branch's authority is crucial for safeguarding against executive overreach and maintaining the balance of powers.
