I am writing out of deep concern for the safety of our service members and our entire country. The news that broke today of numerous high level members of the administration communicating sensitive details of an active military operation via a commercial chat app, much less with a journalist accidentally included in the conversation, is shocking and beyond unacceptable. This inexcusable breach of security puts our entire nation at risk and demonstrates a stunning lack of integrity for protocol and the laws of our country. This cannot be allowed to pass without consequences. Failure to respond swiftly and decisively to this national security threat will communicate weakness and an unwillingness to enforce our own laws. I ask for you to call for the immediate resignation of all involved in the Signal chat, especially Pete Hegseth.
